How much will it cost?
It is always ideal for us to visit your home to determine the cost of your move, as it depends on numerous factors such as packing, access, size of vehicle, number of removal staff etc. With this information we can generate an accurate quotation based on your individual needs.
What areas do you cover?
We cover the whole of the UK Island Isle Of Man and Mainland Europe with our own fleet of modern vehicles offering full and part load services. In addition to this we relocate household and personal effects door to door throughout the world.
How much notice do you require?
Usually between 7-14 days before you are due to move but we are providing a service to our clients and will always try and meet there needs. Please always try to give as much notice as possible.
What size are your vehicles?
We operate a range of modern purpose built vehicles ranging from sprinter panel vans up to 44 ton road trains, to compliment this we have built up a wide range of suppliers to offer any type of specialized transport for all needs. Please let us know if there are any difficulties with access at your locations as this would allow us to plan your move with the appropriate vehicle requirement.
Do you dismantle and re-assemble my bed, wardrobe etc.?
This activity would have been agreed at the quotation stage. Normally all items needing to be dismantled for removal from your home would be disassembled and ready to move prior to our arrival.
If agreed at the quotation stage our staff would carry out dismantling and re-assembling as required subject to the condition of the items and their intended position within the residence. It is essential that we know what is required at the quotation stage to allow for the necessary resources and equipment to be provided.
Do I need to unpack my chest of drawers?
Providing the unit is no moor than 3/4 draws high and of a sturdy nature then light items such as clothing, bedding, etc. can be left in. Please remove any books, magazines, valuables, breakable items etc. Self assembly furniture does not respond well to moving so this type of furniture must only be moved while completely empty.
What should I do with my gas cylinders or flammable liquids?
Unfortunately we are unable to transport flammable liquids of any kind and must not be submitted for removal. These items are not covered under our insurance, other arrangements must be made. Equipment such as garden mowers and chainsaws should be drained of all liquids beforehand.
Will you empty my loft?
Unless your loft has a stable access, solid floor and is illuminated are staff would not be able to work in this area because of health and safety implications. Should this not be the case. Please ensure your loft is empty prior to your move.
Does my furniture get placed to my requirements?
It is always best if you have a clear idea of where you want your furniture to be placed. Our staff will endeavor to arrange all items in their required locations at your residence but do not have the time to continually rearrange your home.
What are the size of your storage containers?
The containers are 7’8 x 7’8 x 4’ high, holding approximately 250 cubic feet. These are standard removal containers, and can be fork-lifted on and off vehicles allowing us to load and unload directly at your premises resulting in minimum handling.
How long can I store for?
You can store your goods for as long or short as necessary. Storage is charged on a weekly basis and all customers receive an invoice/statement every month.
Can I access my goods while they are in store?
The answer is yes we require as little as 24 hours notice to do this.
How can I pay for storage?
You can pay by cheque, online banking credit or debit card. A popular option is to pay by direct debit if you are storing for a longer period of time.
What items are not allowed to be stored?
Flammable items, gas bottles, and plants.
